FROM THE MICHIGAN COUNCIL: the LUCY MARY KELLOGG AWARD

The Michigan Council proudly announces the Lucy Mary Kellogg Award will be given in the year 2001 to honor an individual who has made a significant contribution to the field of genealogy as described in the award brochures distributed to Michigan Delegates at the Jan. 2001 meeting.

At that time Delegates were requested to announce and explain the award to their societies. The Lucy Mary Kellogg Award will be presented to the 2001 honoree during the Michigan Seminar being held this fall October 18-20 at the Northfield Hilton Hotel in Troy, Michigan.

Survey your membership and urge them to select a nominee, which can include previously nominated candidates whose names may be resubmitted. It is important to mail nominations, letters, and supporting materials such as samples of publications by the deadline date of May 1, 2001.
